Liam Heilberg - Osteopath and Strength and Conditioning Coach
What led me to becoming an Osteopath?
Having sustained multiple injuries while competing in soccer, athletics and now with running and cycling, I have developed a deeper understanding of the impact injuries can have on you physical and emotional well-being.
I love helping people manage their pain, helping them understand the nature of their injury and empowering them with the knowledge and tools to move through life. I aim to provide a positive environment for patients to thrive in by facilitating mindful movement and encouraging confidence and resilience in their body’s ability to heal, recover and achieve new levels of fitness.
As an avid reader of research and a lifelong learner, I am open minded and empathetic. I want to listen to your story and I always approach the treatment process using a contemporary patient-centred approach that integrates manual therapy with strength and conditioning.
Ultimately, I want you to walk out of the clinic with a positive perspective on your injury, knowing that you are on the right path to being happy, resilient and capable of achieving any goal you desire.
Outside of Geelong I am a lecturer at Victoria University where I teach anatomy and clinical skills to budding osteopaths. I am also the Head of Rehabilitation for the Carlton AFLW team, which is role I love!
